My Journey Into Painting

Born in Portobello, Edinburgh, my path to painting was never straightforward. For years I worked across London, Dublin, and Galway in the Information Technology sector, collaborating with international companies and building a career shaped by structure, logic, chaos, and problem‑solving(sometimes).

Life changed unexpectedly, and work was no longer possible. During a long ongoing period of recovery, I discovered painting — not as a hobby, but as a lifeline. Art Therapy became a source of calm, focus, and renewal. Paint and brushes replaced routine and pressure, opening my eyes to colour, hue, tone, and medium in ways I had never experienced.

About the Exhibition

The World Beyond Grey brings together landscapes, abstractions, architectural scenes, and expressive studies that reflect my journey — from recovery to rediscovery, from grey to colour.

Each piece invites viewers to pause, breathe, and notice the details that make the world extraordinary. The exhibition celebrates the emotional spectrum of colour and the quiet moments that often go unseen in daily life.
